Friday, January 14, 2005Consider yourself warnedPresident Bush plans to reactivate his reelection campaign's network of donors and activists to build pressure on lawmakers to allow workers to invest part of their Social Security taxes in the stock market, according to Republican strategists. The underlying message beneath all this talk about "selling Social Security" is that they actually have to sell it. If it was a great idea, they wouldn't need so much market research and expensive PR campaigns. But it's not. It's a terrible idea and the Bushies need to manipulate the public any which way they can in order to fool the people into allowing them to dismantle the program. posted by chris at 4:55 PM ------------------ |
